Tour with an Archaeologist

Discovering Naples

Naples is one of the biggest and most fascinating Mediterranean cities, considered as the "Soul of Italy".

A visit to Naples is an antidote to the monotony of modern life, a way to reset your nervous system.

Naples is a combination of historical, artistic and folkloristic beauties in direct contradiction to the poverty

that has invested the city after the war.

The beauty of Naples is a feeling, an emotion, kept between art and culture, through the streets of the historic center, the heart of the city.

There are many legends, myths and mysteries surrounding this place.

The historic center of Naples, the biggest of Europe, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best place to visit in Italy. Here is where I would like to start our Tour.

We will see the Church and Monastery of Saint Chiara and the famous San Severo Chapel, with the stunning "Veiled Christ". We will walk trough the street called Spaccanapoli, then Via dei Tribunali and San Gregorio Armeno.

We'll continue with the ancient Agora and the Cathedral of Naples, where we will find the Chapel of San Gennaro, Patron Saint of the city, Piazza del Plebiscito, Royal Palace (outside) and the oldest bar of the city, the popular Cafe Gambrinus.
